Synopsis

The SBCAS 2020 Short Course Book contains the texts of the tutorials selected and presented in this edition of the event. The book is organized into four chapters covering themes of software architecture, multisensory environments, tools in precision medicine and sensor networks.

In the first chapter, entitled “Software architectures for the health domain”, the authors present an introduction to the concept of software architecture to support the development of health systems.

In the second chapter, “Multisensory environments applied to health: application development and future trends”, characteristics of applications with multiple sensory effects are discussed.

The third chapter, entitled “OHDSI tools and precision medicine: PLE and PLP studies”, deals with two tools for estimation and prediction in precision medicine.

The chapter that closes the book is entitled “Applications in sensor networks in the area of health and medical data management: technologies on the rise”, with the purpose of presenting the main concepts related to sensor networks and the collection, treatment and protection of sensitive medical data.
