Synopsis

The book “Computing and Society” brings a very diversified and innovative set of themes to the publishing market, allowing readers to be in sync with the reality of the 21st century, a vision that ranges from classic to emerging subjects of this theme. Many of these themes are worked in an isolated way in other works or sources of information, and, in this book, they are gathered in order to cover the necessary set of topics for the disciplines in this area, facilitating the pedagogical and reflective work. In particular, the Brazilian context is addressed. For teachers and students, each chapter brings learning objectives, tips, exercises and cases for reflection, useful to the educational process. Furthermore, the work is useful to researchers from different areas, as it brings research challenges into view.
