Synopsis

The Short Courses of SBSeg aim to (i) update the knowledge of students on topics not normally covered in the curricula of undergraduate courses or (ii) arouse great interest among academics and professionals. In the first edition of the Call for Short Courses, the community gave prestige to it with a high number of submissions. From a total of seventeen proposals submitted, the evaluation committee selected three for presentation and publication in book chapter form. In this book, we have the full texts of the selected proposals, organized into three chapters: (1) Negação de Serviço: Ataques e Contramedidas; (2) Segurança em Grades Computacionais; (3) Serviços Distribuídos Tolerantes a Intrusões: Resultados Recentes e Problemas Abertos.
